Garlic Mashed Potatoes for Those Who Aren’t Too Concerned About Social Interactions
Or: “This Is Not a Recipe for Close Talkers.”
This recipe shouldn’t take more than ten minutes to prepare, in addition to a twenty-minute boil. The potatoes go well with my roast chicken recipe, but I’m not gonna lie: I gladly eat the mash by itself.

Ingredients
- 6 unpeeled Yukon Gold potatoes
- 4 tbsp butter, softened, cut into ¼-inch pieces
- ½ cup cream
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
- Add potatoes to a large pot of boiling water.
- Boil until soft, roughly 20 minutes.
- Drain and place the potatoes in a large bowl.
- Throw butter, cream, and garlic into the bowl.
- Mash and/or use a hand mixer if you want creamy potatoes.
- Fold in salt and pepper to taste.
Leftovers store well in the fridge. Reheat them with additional cream if needed.
